Abstract: Teenagers tend to shift their day preferences to “evening type” during puberty. It might cause them feel less sleepy until later in the evening, and find it difficult to get enough sleep during school term due to having to get up early for class. Therefore, adolescents typically accumulate a significant sleep debt in school days, and will extend the duration of sleep on non-school days. There might be increasing discrepancies in sleep schedule between long vacation and school day. Consequently, the current study tried to explore the adverse effects of “sleep-in“ among senior high school students.
